My work: Concept and Design of Tensile Canopies, Plans, Elevations and
3D modeling of terraces, pool and other water features, all stages from Design Development to Site Implementation

This mixed–use development in Ghaziabad is a 12-floor construction, for which, Boundary & Periphery Planting, Ground Floor Landscaping and Landscaping of the 3rd floor and 12th floor terraces has been carried out.

The client requested there be a canopy for the top-floor terrace pool cafe, in the firm’s colours, for which a multitude of tensile designs were conceived, namely, shade sail, saddle roof, mast support, and ribbon weave. With solar path studies, these were designed to provide shade all throughout the day, especially in the harsh summer months.

The Facade of the same floor has been designed to give a feel of a partially enclosed roof cafe, with its white grilled panels and the textured paint with brown tiles. The deck and the floor is clad in wooden planks in a striped checkerboard configuration. The walls are clad in a wainscoting of brown panels with textured paint. The pool is decorated with blue mosaic tiles in two shades of blue, and conceals strips of flushed LED pool lights. Planters are also placed between the pool deck and the cafe seating to provide a green privacy screen. The deck, which conceals the motor equipment for the pool, also leads to the changing rooms and an open shower area.

The terrace cafe on the third floor is primarily a spillover area leading from an indoor restaurant and a conference /banquet hall. Its purpose is to provide auxiliary seating and open areas for these venues. The facade cladding has been designed as feature walls of grey and gold, incorporate the lighting in tinysquare consoles as shown in the elevation above. Other design components are the water feature next to the seating area, and a green wall overlooking the views of the city.
